Provide Responsible Gambling Services

If you are seeking employment within the gaming industry, the completion of the RSG certificate is a legal requirement.  In compliance with all relevant Victorian gaming legislation, you will learn about all the rights and responsibilities which are attached to a Gaming Industry Employees License.

Courses in Melbourne are conducted by Joy Effern. Joy has  years of experience in hospitality, gaming and training.

Courses in Country Victoria are conducted by Somers Elite Training CEO Peter Somers.

When do I to get my Gaming License?

All new gaming industry employees who are working in the gaming machine area of an approved venue are required to undertake an approved course within six months of commencing employment. They are also required to undertake an approved refresher course within three years following completion of an approved course. Somers Elite Training offer RSG refresher courses.

How do I get my Gaming License?

You do not have to attend a course to gain your Gaming Industry Employees License.  A gaming license consists of a series of checks, including a police check, to ensure that an individual is of sound character and fit to work within the gaming industry.  If you have not already obtained your gaming license, when you attend the RSG course with Somers Elite Training, our professional trainer will guide you through the application process and assist you in gaining your license.  The license is issued by the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) and usually takes between three and six weeks to process.
