What is Attend Gaming Machines (AGM)?

The Somers Elite Training AGM relates to a Nationally Recognised unit of competency designed to teach you the basics of working with electronic gaming machines.  The course is catered to people who are seeking the practical 'hands-on' experience necessary to gain employment in the gaming industry.  The AGM unit provides the student with all the essential knowledge and practical skills required of any gaming room attendant.

Nowadays, previous experience in the gaming industry is almost a pre-requisite for many employers.   At Somers Elite Training, we understand the frustrations often experienced by people attempting to get into the gaming industry without any previous experience.   This course is designed to help you overcome this obstacle and to find your perfect job by providing you with hands-on experience at real gaming venues, with real machines, and dealing with real customers.

The program is taught by Peter Somers, a gaming expert with over 20 years of experience, who will lead you through a 'hands-on' training experience which will give you the skills, confidence, and competitive edge to find your ideal job.

Maximum number of students in any one AGM class is 9. All students work in threes to increase learning capacity and allow for greater concentration of one on one training.

AGM Course details

Attend Gaming Machines is a 3-day course (5 hours per day).  The course operates from Monday to Wednesday 10am - 3pm in actual gaming venues throughout Melbourne.  All students receive a comprehensive training manual and workbook and also a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment on completion of the course.
